Well a New Year is upon us!! Happy New Year to all my friends, family and followers!! 2012 was a great year for me and my family. My Madison had a lot of firsts happen over the year, firsts that may have been tough for this first time Momma or firsts that were amazing, wonderful and beautiful!!
I know for a fact that 2013 is going to be bringing me and my family a lot of joy, a lot of happiness and a lot MORE firsts!! We embark on such a new adventure starting tomorrow. We pack up our family and move to a brand new town to start our life together in a new home. I’m 14 weeks pregnant, I’ve been sick off and on for a month, I’m tired, I’m burnt, I’m ready for this change to start and be over! We are falling over boxes, tripping over one another and living on take-out! It’s time. It’s finally our time.
So as this New Year starts for us I wish you and your family a year of happiness and joy. I hope you will continue to follow me through 2013 because there are a lot of things happening for this Momma! For now I will leave you with the Top 12 of 2013 for Momma’s Meals!! These are the Top 12 recipes voted on by YOU….yes ALL OF YOU!! Thank you for a wonderful year!
#12
Sweet & Tangy Ribs – I made these over the summer one night when I had my aunt and grandmother over for dinner, we cook a lot together during the summer and I decided to try something different in the Crock Pot!! BIG success, so much so that when I did the Crock Pot challenge back in October 3 other food bloggers decided to try them too, they put a spin on them and made them fit for their family, but you can check them out Here.
#11
All In One Pork Dinner– I have to admit, every time I make a Pot Roast I try a different recipe, however I still think this one rates the best with my family and I have made it more than once!! Good Stuff.
#10
End of Summer Pasta Primevera – I’m so happy this hit the list!! I love a bunch of veggies thrown together in a pasta! I created this dish myself so I’m proud to know it had a lot of views!
#9
Crock Pot Chicken Enchilada Soup – This one comes from one of my favorite foodie sites. Now that the New Year is here and I want to start eating more healthy (and now that I will have my kitchen and energy back) I’ll be doing a lot more recipes from this site again!
#8
Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie – This one is another favorite in my house, funny how all of my favorites keep turning up on this list! I make this one a lot (which IS saying a lot since my husband always complains, yes complains that I never make the same thing twice!) It’s also another healthified dish!
#7
Crock Pot Breakfast Casserole – This one was another recipe from the Crock Pot Challenge!! I can’t believe this one made it, not because it wasn’t good, but because I only posted it back in October, which means it got a lot of hits between October and now to make the top 12!! Listen to my notes with this one and you will have a great breakfast for the whole week!!
#6
Momma’s Pork Fried Rice – I remember making this dish because I wasn’t really sure how it was going to turn out, it was one of those, “I’m so glad I tried this!!” dishes! Now that I’m typing this I remember I have a roast in my freezer, this one may be first on the list in the new kitchen!
#5
Momma’s Creamy Chicken Dinner – Another one of my originals that made the list! This one is a favorite by a few friends of mine!! It’s a great dish to make on a busy week night and you’ll have leftovers too!
#4
Spaghetti Squash and Sausage Casserole – I loved this dish! It’s a healthy side dish to substitute out your starchy dish. My husband wasn’t a fan but I was and every time I go to Ruby Tuesday’s I get their Spaghetti Squash dish, actually this dish was inspired from the very first time I tried it at Ruby’s!!
#3
End of Summer Sangria – Ohhhh another “End of Summer!” I love it! This recipe was given to me by a friend of mine, she served these great cocktails one warm summer evening this past summer, I will surly be putting these on the list for this summer once Baby F. arrives!
#2
Spinach Cups – I haven’t made these since Super Bowl Sunday, I think it’s time to whip these up again! Great appetizers to serve at any party, I think I’ll put them on my list for our house warming party!
AND THE #1 DISH FOR 2012 issssssssssssssssss…………..
Fiesta Chicken!!! This doesn’t surprise me one bit because it’s such an easy dish to make and it can honestly give you three awesome dishes throughout the week! I’m happy this one won because I only posted the recipe for all 3 dishes and the shopping list back in October!! This one will not disappoint!
