One Lucky Momma

Yes I do consider myself one lucky momma. For a lot of reasons. I remind myself of these reasons when I have a bad day. A day when the scretches of my daughter wear at me, when she constantly just gets into everything, when no matter what I do I feel like I’m getting nothing accomplished. I try to remind myself how lucky I am, maybe I should make a list.

1.) I have a wonderful, loving & Supportive Family.
2.) My husband is the most amazing man I’ve ever met and an even better father.
3.) I’ve been able to stay home and watch my daughter turn into the beautiful little toddler she already is.
4.) Though I complain about my condo often, it’s beautiful and my second home is where I grew up every summer.
5.) I have amazing friends, they are always their for me.
6.) I’m smart & I’m strong
7.) I may not be rich or even well off but we barley have any debt and have worked really hard to get to where we are today.

So from here on out, on those bad days I’m concentrating on the above things I know I have. I know I’m not the only mother out their, or even the only person out their that has bad days. I follow numerous blogs, some of these woman are just talented with their writing skills, or they are fabulous cooks, or they are just a mom like me looking for a way to get “out there”. I got my usual Monday morning alerts that have weekly or daily wrap ups of these blogs that I’m subscribed to.  I came across one today that struck a cord just because I feel like this some days. I emailed Barb and asked her if I could share her post with all of my readers and she was more than willing to share her “Moments of Grace”. http://quicklikeabunny.wordpress.com/2012/02/17/tired-moments-of-grace/ We both agreed as mothers that sometimes just knowing others have those “bad” days we aren’t alone. We are never alone.

I also posted another article in my “Journey to Motherhood” section called “Take Two Minutes, it’s a great way to take a time out and recognize just what we have in our life.

I added three new recipes to the Easy Meals section. Turkey Stroganoff, Chicken Fajita Salad Wrap and Chicken Cacciatore. Tonight I’m making an Asian Beef Stir Fry. I’m excited, I bought everything from the Asian Isle. Asian sauce, Asian noodles even Asian seseme seeds, I’ve never cooked with them before so I’m curious to see how it turnes out. If it’s good I’ll post it for everyone!

We didn’t do much today but get some things around the house that will let us have a pretty relaxing week. My husband caught up on some things he’s been wanting to get done, laundry go finished and folded (well everyones but mine!) I took my boo for a little walk to get some fresh air. It was nice to push myself to go out even though it was cold.

What’s up for the week? Well tomorrow night I’m headed to my best friends house to cook dinner, we haven’t cooked dinner together since before the holidays! Not sure what we are going to make but we are thinking the Quick N Easy Lasagna. Then I also have the ingredients for Skinny Chicken Marsala, Turkey Stroganoff and Chicken Fajita Salad Wraps. So that is what’s cooking in my kitchen this week!!
