I was so happy to see that a lot of my top viewed recipes of 2016 consisted of 21 Day Fix recipes. It inspired me to write this post because I know a few people who have reached out to me to ask how I liked the program, I’ve had family members ask if the cups were “filling” enough, and people have asked me how long it took and how much I’ve lost. Answers I didn’t even know! It was actually fun to look back on my journey to when I started and how far I’ve come to even maintaining a healthy and fit life today.
I use the date of 3/1/14 because I had surgery in February of 2014 and it was after I recovered that I decided to change my life and our eating habits at home. I didn’t document my exact weights with each round I did but here is how I did it:
Round one of 21 Day Fix: 6/25/14. One year and one day after my son was born.
Round two of 21 Day Fix: 7/8/14. Two months after I went back to work part-time.
Round three of 21 Day Fix: 8/22/14. Immediately after Round 2. I had 5 more pounds to loose.
Last Challege: 4/8/15. I decided to incorporate T25 in this round and I also finally started using the measuring cups featured in the 21 Day Fix program. I decided to shoot for 5 more lbs.
UPDATE: After my last round I lost another 3 lbs! I’m now happier than I’ve ever been and feel confident in my own body for the first time in years! YEARS!! I don’t have to measure my food anymore because I my stomach knows when I’m full. I know over eating was my issue and now my stomach is used to small amounts of food 5 times a day. I eat out and splurge maybe once a week to once every other week. You too can do this!
Total Weight lost: 27 lbs.
Time it took: 10 months.
This is just proof that I didn’t really loose a lot of weight. I toned my body and became healthy. During those 10 months I also still enjoyed wine and and treats, while I was in each challenge I was strict with my food and workouts.
Now it’s time for you to make the same change I have. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I’m even thinking of starting a new challenge soon because I feel like I work better when challenged!
