Happy Friday everyone!! Sorry for no Featured Friday today. It will be a special addition of Featured Monday because today we have a birthday boy!! Yup my husband will be featured on Monday along with the dinner that I am cooking him tonight! You aren’t going to want to miss this, he requested an appetizer, yes he did folks…..I am making him Spicy Fried Wings, a recipe from the Neely’s (Food Network) then I’m making him a Beef Tenderloin with Shallot Mustard Sauce from Miss Martha, no no not Martha Speaks (man I watch too many children shows) but Martha Stewart. To top it all off we will be enjoying a Pumpkin Cheesecake Truffle while watching our favorite shows we tape all week. Hey not such a bad birthday huh! So let’s wish him a Happy 30th (we are 30 every year folks!) Instead of Featured Friday we are closing off our #CrockPot Challenge.
Here we are on our last day of the #CrockPot Challenge, this makes me sad……..I’ve had fun sharing and talking with my Co-Host’s!! You girls have been fabulous and I can’t wait to try some of your dishes this winter! My Pinterest account is growing! Speaking of Pinterest, I found this recipe on there as well!! Seems like I have a new addiction! I love love love my pork chops in the crock pot, they stay moist and when they are cooked in a yummy sauce, you just can’t go wrong. So I changed it around and made my own gravy with this fabulous dish!
Ranch House Pork Chops
Recipe Adapted From: Chef In Training
Serves: 4
4 large pork chops, I used the thick ones.
1 packet dry Ranch Dressing Seasoning
2 10 oz cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper, or to taste
OK I bought these awesome liners for the Crock for this Challenge but it took me until day 5 to remember!! AHHH!!!
Anywho, I read all of the comments on this recipe and a lot of the comments were that it was a bit too salty and that they wouldn’t use the whole packet of seasoning, so I didn’t, I used half. Should have went with the recipe, I think it needed the whole packet, so go with it!
Yes it’s as simple as this my friends! Pour in the two cans of soup and the packet of seasoning and stir to combine.
Place your chops on top of the soup mixture pressing down as much as possible. Then using a spoon spoon some on top and all around, I do it this way so there is a good base of something on the bottom of the crock.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or high for 4. Then you get this mound of happiness.
Here is how I made the gravy! I scooped out some of the soup mixture and boiled it on the stove top, I then added some of what was left from the seasoning packet, if you use the whole packet I would suggest just spooning some of the sauce right on top! Yup that’s how easy and that’s how good!
I served it with my new Comforting Mashed Potatoes from #SundaySupper last week!! Yummy….
At the beginning of this challenge anyone who took part in making 5 crock pot dishes and blogging about it had a chance to win a free Crock Pot from little ol’ me!!
