I made this for a party this summer and it was a huge hit! We then we all ate it for leftovers the next night! YUMMY…I was thinking of even adding a layer of chopped strawberries to add a little “goodness” to it!
UPDATE** I made it again for a BBQ this past weekend and I added fresh strawberries on top! Great addition!
Ingredients:
1 pkg. Oreo cookies
1 (16 oz.) bowl Cool Whip
1 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. pkg. chocolate pudding
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter
Preperation:
In deep dessert serving dish crumble Oreo cookies to completely cover the bottom.
Melt butter and pour over the cookies. (I did it right in the microwave 30 seconds at a time until it melted!)
In another bowl mix chocolate pudding as directed on box and let set. Mine was ready in 5 min tops!
In a separate bowl mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1/2 of Cool Whip.
Spread white mixture over cookie mixture.
When ready pour the pudding over the white mixture. Cover the pudding with rest of Cool Whip and crumble Oreo cookies to decorate. (I put the strawberries on top here).
I just like the side view! I love how the layers drip into each other layer! Dive in! You know you want to!
