National Sandwich Day!!

In honor National of National Sandwich Day!! Let’s start with understanding where the sandwich came from.  Today is not only National Sandwich Day, but it is also the birthday of the 4^th Earl of Sandwich.  Lord Sandwich was a notorious gambler and it is believed that he demanded a way to eat his dinner with one hand so that he could continue to play cards without stopping to eat.  He instructed his servants to give him his meat between two pieces of bread to avoid getting his cards greasy.  His citizens began ordering the “same as Sandwich” and eventually his creation was given the name “the sandwich.”  After that, sandwiches were primarily eaten  by men during late night drinking parties or card games.  By the 20^thcentury, the sandwich had become a quick weeknight meal and convenient lunch enjoyed by everyone. Well today was rough, I think my daughter is suffering from the normal after affects from having 3 shots at her check up yesterday. So she’s been pretty needy and whiny today. Breaks my heart, not even her favorite is making her happy….MUSIC! The tears are real and everything. Nothing else exciting in the Forcier household because it’s leftover night since they have built up too much! I did get a little time to start our Holiday additions though!! I got to add a Honey-Glazed Ham, Oven-Roasted Turkey Breast and Broccoli Three Cheese Bake!! Make your holiday healthified this year!!
