Mom’s Famous Taco Dip

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner! We have this dip at every family party, holiday or occasion, and of course many nights around the camp fire during the summer!! It’s super easy, your able to make it ahead of time, and I substitute things for it to be lower in fat and calories! I’m actually thinking of adding a layer of beans for my next one, hope my mom doesn’t mind!!! 🙂

What you need:

1 Pkg. of 1/3 fat free Cream Cheese (Small)
1 Jar of Salsa (your choice of mild or hot)
2 Cups of 2% Skim Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Or Fat Free)
One 8 x 8 Cooking Dish (You can really use any dish size your want if you have enough of the ingredients. We actually have certain dishes that are strictly for this dip!!)

Directions:

Spread Cream cheese on the bottom of the dish, making it even throughout.
Spread the Salsa on top, making it even throughout.
Sprinkle the Shredded Cheese on top of the salsa, making it even througout.
Cook in the oven on 350F for 10-15 min, or until cheese on top is melted. Or you can microwave it for roughly 4 min, or until the cheese on top is melted.
