Hey there!
Friday Friday!!! I’ve been waiting for this Friday for 3 whole weeks! My hubby has the whole weekend off! Phew! It’ll be nice to just go do anything and have help with baby boo, I’m hoping to get into the kitchen a lot this weekend too. Tomorrow night Hubs and I are having a date night in. Those are when we put the baby to bed and I can really get into the kitchen! I cook his favorite, steak, ham or pasta LOL! I usually try something new, make it look pretty and then we watch a movie usually, maybe this time we’ll play a game, If I can remember where I stored them!
Well I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Baby Boo is slowly getting better, I’m feeling better and it’s Friiiiiiday!!! Lot’s coming up, tonight I’m actually having a girls night with some old co-workers, we always have fun, sometimes I feel left out because I’m not in my usual “work environment” anymore, but more often than not after coming home I feel relieved that I’m not LOL! That it’s beneficial for me to be home with my daugther while I can be. Sometimes I have to remind myself of that, well ok all the time!!
Lots being cooked next week, so stay tuned for what recipes this momma will be cooking up. I bought a pork loin, turkey breasts to hopefully try Chef Robert Irvine’s, Herbed Turkey Breasts, chicken cutlets, sausage and wait for it….wait for it…….butternut squash ravioli’s!!
So since this momma is headed out tonight I’m going to hook my hunny up with something from the crock! Which means he needs a whole dish….soooo I’m throwing in 4 chicken thighs (bone-in), I’ll slice 2 potatoes thinly, I’ll mix it with a can of cream of chicken (maybe 2 cans), some chicken broth, then right before I leave I’ll put in a can of corn and he’ll have dinner an hour later! Your welcome hunny! Tomorrow I’d like to try the Baked Chicken Nuggets with Baked Chipolte Sweet Potato French Friesand Oven Fried Zucchini Stix for lunch, either tomorrow or Sunday. For our date night I’m going to try the Broccoli & Chedder Potato Skins again (I bought the right potatoes this time) I bought 2 Top Sirloin Steaks, not sure what I’ll do with them yet but I’ll find some kind of sauce or something to dip it in, I’m going to try a Pesto Pasta with garlic and herbed string beans, oh yes I forgot to mention on special nights I don’t healthify anything LOL! Ok well now I’m hungry!! Today I’m making the Humus & Cucumber dish for lunch….in a wrap! YUM!
