Here we are on letter “H”. I’d like to talk about a Ham dish since Ham is one of my favorite dishes and yesterday was Easter and I cooked a fabulous Ham? However we are having leftovers tonight so here is a good recipe to turn some leftovers into something else! I made this recipe up with the thought of “Chicken Cordon Bleu” It’s by far my husbands favorite dish! Well Chicken Cordon Bleu always seem hard to me because you have to flatten your chicken, roll the ham and cheese and make sure it stays rolled up while it cooks, sooooooooooo I made it easier! Click Here for the actual recipe.
I bought Chicken Cutlets, I season them with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I put three of them down in a lightly sprayed baking dish. I then added some ham and then the cheese on top of the ham and topped it with another peice of chicken.
I even topped them with some whole wheat bread crumbs! You can also squeeze a little lemon juice on top or just leave the lemon on top (it helps keep it moist) I baked it at 350 for 17-20 minutes!
I think it’s easier than Chicken Cordon Bleu and it has the same taste, the cheese melts down the chicken! YUM….I served it here with Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes and peas. Or for my husband…….with Corn!!
What is your favorite Ham dish that you can make with leftovers??
That receipe looks really really yummy!!! I might have to try that for one. However, was looking for some Easter pictures of my beautiful granddaughter in her Easter Bonnet, and was the best child ever all day Easter. Still Waiting
