So Shelbs and I made the Baked Parmesan Pork Chops, Oven Roasted Potato Wedges and Garlic & Onion Greened Beans!(new recipes in the sides section) We were both so impressed and she loved loved loved it, was so glad she got leftovers she said! I couldn’t believe when I looked at the clock and it was 11:30, I usually can’t keep my eyes open past 10, but with Shelbes, we always have something to talk about! She’s been my best friend since I met Andy. At my wedding she gave a toast saying that Andy and I are family to her, well what she doesn’t realize is that I’m the lucky one because when I met Andy I gained a husband and a best friend! She has helped me through alot of hard times and vice versa. I thought once I had my daughter we’d grow apart, not completely of course but being at different stages of our lives (she’s single with no kids) I thought it would just naturally happen, you tend to hang out with people that you have the same things in common so you can relate, but it’s different with a few of my girlfriends and I’m so extremely lucky to have them.
It’s been a great weekend because it’s the first one in quite sometime that my husband didn’t have to work and we had no plans!! It’s been so great having family time, having him around! Tomorrow my sister is coming up for the football game and I’m going to be making a Tangy Pot Roast in the Crock and my own Scalloped Potatoes!! Stay tuned for pics and reviews!! I also added a Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole (Main Dishes) I wanted to try this so I hope I get to this tomorrow morning! I can’t wait to have enough recipes to divide my categories into Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!! Also I’m going to update my weekly favorite page next week, my husband is my critic since no one is reviewing yeeeeeeet!!
I also put the Garlic & Onion Greened Beans, Oven Roasted Potato Wedges and Scalloped Potatoes under the Special Holiday Additions section because I think these are great holiday sides!!
I don’t even remember where I read this but it was suggested that when journaling, or writing, or blogging to name 3 things that have made you smile over the day. It will help you stay positive through the hard times, and remind you just how important those little things truly are. So today I’m going to share the 3 things that made me smile today. 1.) Watching my husband get my daughter this morning and seeing her smile when she saw it was daddy 🙂 2.) Watching my husband and daughter build blocks. 3.) Watching my daughter take 11 steps in a row without falling. Huh…notice how all 3 things involved her 🙂 That’s a lot of smiling!!!
