Dear Madison,
I can’t believe I have a four year old. I have a four year old. Maybe if I keep saying it over and over again I’ll realize that I. Have. A. Four. Year. Old. Where has the time gone? You’ve turned into such a sweet little girl. There are days where I just look at you and wonder where the past four years went. You are at such a fun age. Your imagination is at it’s peak right now. I hear you playing with your dolls and cars and you talk them like Mommy and Daddy talk to you. You walk around with your phone talking to Memere, Nunney and Daddy. Oh and the questions…..oh the questions. The other day it was about 7 am and after the millionth question before Mommy had even opened her eyes I said “Honey I don’t think Mommy is going to answer questions today.” That lasted for about 2 minutes.
Your doing a little better with school. You still don’t like to play with the other kids but getting you there each morning isn’t as tough as it used to be. Your learning your letters and hearing you say what letter is what and watching you write them out never grows old with me. Your the shyest little kid I’ve ever seen. You like your Momma, you hate all eyes being on you and your not big on the crowds. We had your birthday party at Chuck E Cheese this year. It was perfect for your age group and you were able to invite Jack, Layla, Olivia, Joshua, Elliot, Carter and Evelyn. Your family was there to have pizza and watch you play. You were a bit hesitant but you had a really good time. Then you went to school for your birthday. You had cupcakes with the kids and Mommy picked you up early to go shopping with your birthday money. You LOVED that, you picked out an Ana and Elsa T-shirt, a Ninja Turtle night light, and Mommy ordered some things for your new dollhouse. You then came home to all of your gifts from your friends. You had a blast opening everything up. You are lucky lucky little girl sweetheart.
You know that you’ve been struggling with pooping on the potty. I’m happy to report that FINALLY FINALLY you are pooping on the potty. It wasn’t easy for Mommy but I had to take away the pull ups and say no to you when you wanted one. 🙁 You held it for days. You were clearly in pain but luckily two weeks later, with only two accidents it’s been a success. Of course you still want a lollipop afterwards! I could not be more proud, I now have only one baby in diapers!!
We are officially into Fall here, you are asking so many questions, about leaves, wind, when does the snow start. It’s actually fun answering those questions! You loved Halloween this year. You dressed up as Scooby Doo. Which is funny because you don’t even know who Scooby Doo is! You’ve never watched it before. You trick or treated with Drew and Daddy and you even had a parade at school. You are going to love love love Christmas this year. You’ve already flipped through the Fisher Price magazine saying “Wow” with every page your turned.
You also took part in gymnastics. You made it to 8 weeks out of 10. You weren’t really a big fan of it at first. Then you started to get used to it and just go with the flow however I still think secretly you were more interested in the candy and stamp you got at the end of each class. 🙂 I wanted you to see what it was like to be a part of team. I also wanted to do something with just you on Saturday mornings. Daddy and I notice that when we give you individual time alone without your baby brother you tend to be better behaved. Your favorite things to do at this point is play make pretend with anything, you love fire engines and you love watching TV! I have to actually monitor it now a days. I remember the days when I couldn’t even get you look towards the TV! You still prefer shopping in the boys department, wearing hats and playing with other boys but as long as your happy I’m happy, however I still don’t know how to explain the difference between boy underwear and girl underwear to you 😉
You have two new baby cousins and one more on the way. You love babies and always want to hold them you are going to make a great big cousin sweet girl. Mommy and Daddy love you.
Love,
Momma
