Dear Drew,
My sweet baby boy, You are growing in leaps and bounds and since you are at my favorite age right now I’m having such an emotional ride through these days because you are our last baby. All of your firsts have become lasts for your Mommy. You have mastered rolling over, you are officially all over the place, you are getting so much better and more interested in eating solids, I just couldn’t be more proud of you. Your favorite foods right now are anything that turns to mush, breads, waffles, rice cakes, you are loving Daddy’s grilled cheese’s and your most favorite are graham crackers! You just smile and giggle through the whole snack!! I can honestly tell you that letting you eat solids gradually and letting you figure it out has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I gave you a bowl of mashed potatoes the other day and you went to town, you let me feed you, you took the spoon and fed yourself and you also dove in with your fingers and fed your face! Too cute baby boy! You are attempting to hold your own bottle too but you are pretty lazy and would rather Momma or Dadda do it for you. When you were sick you LOVED the pedialite!
You are a goer, you want to go go go so badly right now, sitting and playing with toys is going to be a blur in my memory within the next couple of weeks I can tell. It will only be a matter of time before you leave your big sister in the dust! Your a lot more healthier than you were the last time I wrote though you’ve had another ear infection and you’ve picked up on teething. You are a boy which to me means your a bit of a baby, but it’s OK you are my baby boy your aloud. You just long to be comforted, very unlike your sister. Here you are with your Daddy in the midst of an ear infection/teething night.
Each morning I wake and look to see if any teeth have appeared…….None yet. Boy oh boy would I give anything for them to pop through! We had our first annual Ice Skating party that turned into a bonfire because the lake wasn’t in the right conditions for skating. You love being outside. You sit in your little snow suit and you just take it all in. Here you are with your cousin Mia for your 7 mth pictures. We can’t wait to see you guys together once your up running around, however I’m not going to rush it because I love that your not mobile yet!!
Here you are getting your second hair cut! Too cute in your spiderman cape!
I can’t believe I’m already thinking about your first birthday, it’s crazy to even think about that right now. Maybe because this Winter has been brutal with snow, sicknesses and surgeries that Momma is dying for those Summer months. Your big sister is bursting, needing to get out these days to burn some energy and I know that it’s only a matter of time when it’ll be like that for you too! Here you are ready to get up on those knees, not only am I not ready for that but here you are wanting a beer from Daddy, and of course there you are being a big boy with your Nunney!
I love our Mon, Wed and Fri’s together baby boy. Just me and you free to do whatever we’d like, we haven’t gotten to do much but I’m planning some things for the Spring, play dates, Momma groups, park walks and anything else I can fit in!! Here you are on your first Valentine’s Day….you became sick so fast but I’m glad I got a smiling picture of you in the morning. You poor thing you just can’t catch a break from these nasty winter germs, unless it’s all related to your teeth, which is quite possible!! Come on baby teeth!
Here we are snuggling up reading magazines and playing on a random Mommy/Drew day!
I can’t believe the next time I write to you it will be Spring, and it’ll be even closer to your first birthday. Slow down sweet boy……..Momma’s not ready for you to turn one. I rushed so many of your sisters stages away because I was so worried she was “behind” in anything and everything, I was always so worried about everything that for once, I’m enjoying this……Until next time buddy!
Momma loves you!
Drew is ADORABLE!!! Enjoy every moment 🙂
Thank you Liz! He’s such a happy baby boy, he completes me!
