Nothing like a broccoli casserole! This one packs a punch with what else but cheese yum!! And it’s healthified so why not still eat healthy on a holiday! I got this from a new favorite website! Lifemadedelicious.com.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup (75 mL) French fried onions
1 bag (640 g) Frozen Broccoli and Cheese Sauce
3 tbsp (45 mL) reduced-fat brick style cream cheese, cut into cubes
1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped red pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp (2 mL) hot pepper sauce (such as Frank’s)
Directions:
Heat oven to 350oF (180oC).
In large sauce pan, mix the broccoli, cream cheese, red pepper and red pepper sauce. Cover; cook over medium-low heat about 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking, until sauce chips are melted. Transfer to ungreased 2-qt (2 L) casserole.
Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Sprinkle reserved onions around outer edge of casserole; bake 5 minutes longer.
