I got this recipe off of a group I belong to on Facebook, I wanted something different but easy, this seems to fit those requirements!!
Ingredients:
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix (I use beefy onion)
- 1 can of Beef Broth
- 5 1/2 pounds pot roast (i usually get a small 3lb roast)
- Vegetables (Use what you like, I used carrots, celery, mushrooms, sweet potatoes and red bliss potatoes!
Directions:
Rub flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and then sear in skillet with a little oil on all sides, this is important!
In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture. I mixed the soups and broth together in a seperate bowl then poured it around. I always top my Pot Roast with slices of onion (a trick from my Nana )
Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low setting for 8 to 9 hours.
