There is a Beantastic Event going on this week. Although beans are rich in complex carbs like breads and starches they offer an array of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They are also packed with plenty of protein and provide little to no fat and are cholesterol-free. In fact, beans actually lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels instead of potentially causing them to increase, as some animal proteins have been shown to do. So YES beans are more than just a meat substitute they are heart healthy indeed!
So that means it’s time to spill the beans this week! I am hosting this event so join myself and the Sunday Supper tastemakers as we bring you a menu consisting of anything bean-A-rific! Don’t forget to join us Sunday to check out these amazing recipes, here is your sneak peak of the menu…..
