I don’t know about you but we have breakfast for dinner almost weekly here at our house. It’s quick and easy, it’s my kids favorite meal of the day and you can always change it up. For example, I make Pecan Crusted French Toast Sticks or Ham and Egg Breakfast Cups just to make the average breakfast a little different. However, after seeing my son who has been super picky these days, gobble down these Healthy Chocolate Protein Pancakes, we have a new favorite folks!
The beauty of this recipe is that it’s made with only 5 ingredients. Today’s Sunday Supper tastemakers are bringing recipes that have five ingredients or less to the dinner table! This is one of my favorite themes! Who doesn’t want to get breakfast, lunch or dinner on the table with five ingredients or less!? This fantastic theme is being hosted by T.R. of Gluten Free Crumbley. I know how much work goes behind hosting an event so I love giving a shoutout to the host with the most!
- 2 Eggs
- 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- ½ cup of apple sauce
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender and run on low for a 2-3 minutes.
- Using a skillet pan set heat to medium-low. Add cooking spray and make pancakes to be roughly 4-6 inches each. This will make 4 good size pancakes.
This guy didn’t like them at all! Make sure you check out all of the other 5 ingredients or less recipes below for some easy inspiration on those busy nights.

I’d want a big stack of those for my breakfast.
YUM! I always see protein pancakes but never actually took the time to figure out how to make them – they seem super easy!
Nichole I’ll never make my pancakes any other way! I always add protein powder it’s a great way to start (or end) the day!
I have a feeling my family would gobble these chocolate gems down, too! They look terrific!
It always does a heart good when you can make a meal that is healthy and the kids love it.
Those pancakes would be loved here, they would be gone in a blink!
We do breakfast for dinner very often. What a creative recipe.
Wow, Tammi! I need some of these asap! Brinner anyone?
Mmmm, I know a gang of kids that would be glad to meet you!
