I am obsessed with making a “help yourself” bar at any party and I’ve even started making them at home for dinner because I have picky kiddo’s! If your not sure what a “help yourself” bar is I’ll fill you in by sharing this Grilled Pizza Flatbread Bar with you today for this weeks Sunday Supper theme. It’s all about Kids Favorite Recipes today and it’s being hosted by Ellen over at Family Around The Table, I had the pleasure of meeting Ellen at this years Food Wine Conference.
When I thought about what my kids favorite recipes are I instantly rolled my eyes because they are so plain jane. Plain like when we have pasta they don’t want any sauce just butter kind of plain. However, recently they both have ventured out there and actually will have pepperoni on their pizza. Wowzers, I know they are pretty adventurous these days huh! So I decided to set up a pizza bar using my favorite flatbread I buy from the local market down the street. It’s more of a bread than a pizza dough so I can throw it right on the grill!
It’s not so much a recipe I’m sharing today but more of an idea of how you can change up your classic grilled pizza. This Grilled Flatbread Pizza Bar will be fun for the whole family or party! I even decided to venture out there and make a dessert pizza! The kids absolutely loved it and so did my husband!

What a great idea, Tammi! I’ve never done flatbreads but we do make our own pizza. Everybody’s happy when they can choose what they want on their own small pizzas. You are one smart Momma!
This is such a fun idea. I don’t like tomato sauce so to be able to make my own flatbread sounds great.
Such a fun idea to get the kids in the kitchen! Everyone loves pizza!
Brilliant idea! I know my kids like pizza for sure!
Ha, ha—this reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents took us out to an Italian restaurant. I ordered my spaghetti sans sauce, then my 3 sisters followed suit. I’m sure my parents loved paying for that meal. I love this idea for entertaining! Interactive and no complaints!
We have such fun with a pizza bar – it’s our most requested family dinner plan. Great minds thing alike :).
Your dessert flatbreads are a great help yourself idea.
I’m all about easy too. I love the pizza bar idea and putting them on the grill in the summer sounds awesome. Thanks for the ideas!
A great idea. I did a “create your own” pizza one 4th of July and it was a hit! I bet my 2yo would love to help decorate his personal pizza, too.
